Four local charities to benefit from Carpetland USA Fundraiser, No-Shave November.
Milwaukee, WI November 5, 2020.
Southeastern Wisconsin’s Carpetland USA Flooring Center announced today the launch of their Holiday Fundraiser called “No-Shave” November.
The fundraiser encourages all men not to shave and grow their beards and mustaches for the entire month of November, raising awareness and funds for (4) local charities.
No-Shave November also encourages women to hold off visiting their hair salon during November and donate the funds they would normally spend getting their hair done to the cause.
“We wanted to do something fun and to encourage people to donate locally,” said owner Dave Brown. “With all the anxiety of the coronavirus and the upcoming election, we thought it was time to do something positive, cheerful, and for a great cause,” Dave added.
The funds raised from the Carpetland’s “No-Shave” November charity drive will be equally split between four local charities, including The Racine County YMCA, Safe Passage (Safe Haven) of Racine, The Waukesha Food Pantry, and Hope MKE of West Allis.“Our fundraising goal is $50,000,” noted Dave. “We’ve already raised one-third of that, which shows you how starved people are for some good news and for good things to happen,” he added.
